Parties: Be Our Guest! a Beauty and the Beast Celebration
October 9, 2010 § 12 Comments
Beauty and the Beast was clearly made just for me–a brave, bookish heroine? A mysterious castle? True love? Catchy Broadway-style songs? Where do I sign up?
Belle has always been ‘my’ Disney princess, and I am not ashamed of the enthusiasm with which I may sing along to certain songs whenever I hear them, or of my desire to waltz around (alone, if necessary) in a fluffy dress, and I am certainly not ashamed of how completely, stupidly excited I am that Disney has released Beauty and the Beast from the vault at last. Because I am really excited.
So excited that I needed to celebrate. Won’t you…be my guest? (no, I could not resist. Actually I didn’t even try)
Ready to throw a Beauty and the Beast celebration of your own? Then check back for the tutorials that I’ll be posting later this week! There will be instructions for fondant books, fondant roses, fancy cupcake wrappers, and stained glass sugar cookies.
(There will not be instructions on amateur food styling, since I am clearly not qualified for that. Thank you to my dad for these pictures!)
Wow, those are awesome. I’d never be able to eat them–I’d be like “No way, we’re shellacking these babies and keeping them forever.”
Hee, thanks! (we totally ate them–it was actually really fun to tear into them after all the stress of trying to figure out the photoshoot!)
Those turned out so pretty, and your photography is great! You are so creative!!
Thank you! Papa was responsible for all of the pictures, he magically made them awesome 😀
Those are GORGEOUS!! Love all the thought put into everything. Every detail is so wonderful – fabulous job!!!
I just showed Jason these pictures and he said, “Oh my gosh. She is waaaay too talented.” (And you are! The stained glass cookies! Amazing!)
Aww *blush* Thank you!
SERIOUSLY THESE ARE OVERPOWERINGLY SPECTACULAR. I’m especially impressed by the Beast and Beauty cupcakes with their special papers, omg. (It is a cupcake…. WITH A CRAVAT. ALL CUPCAKES SHOULD HAVE CRAVATS FROM NOW ON.) But also FONDANT BOOKS. *-*
YES! CRAVATS FOR EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING!
Now that is a celebration! Beauty and the Beast was always a favorite of mine and I got to introduce it to the minions this week which was a highlight. We didn’t go all out mind you, but it was a good time just the same. Your creations are fantastic!
Thank you so much! I hope the minions enjoyed it–I got to go to a sing-along event at a local theatre, and the best part was seeing all of the kids there who were seeing it for the first time.
Stained glass cookies FTW!!!
